Hello from Peter…

Amazing to think we are at years end with 2018 just around the corner. It has been a challenging year as we continue to find new ways to increase funds and ensure the long term sustainability of the Association.

We were very fortunate to be the recipient of a fundraising event held by the Vietnamese community on the 24th November 2017. The generosity shown towards the Association was humbling with over $32,500 donated to the Association from fundraising held on the night.

There have been quite a few highlights this month including the Christmas Volunteer Lunch. Over 140 people enjoyed amazing entertainment presented by Training Coordinator Rob and equally delicious food provided by LMH catering and our own BBQ connoisseurs Peter Hall and Manju.

I was also fortunate to push the sleigh (cart) for Santa and Mrs claus through the Wards on

Tuesday 12th December 2017. The appreciation shown by patients and nursing staff really brought home the joy of Christmas.

Thank you for the tremendous effort you have given to the community volunteering. It is much appreciated by all those you have provided assistance throughout the year.

I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a safe new year full of joy.

Our sincere thanks to the Vietnamese community who gifted this exquisite horse to Lyell McEwin Hospital along with a cheque for $ 32,000 to the Association that was raised

during their fundraiser dinner held on the 24th November 2017
