Andy
Fryar - Executive Officer
Our
Executive Officer Andy Fryar, has worked with volunteers since1985
and joined the Volunteer Association in 1997.
He
holds a Diploma of Volunteer Management and an undergraduate degree
in Recreation Planning and Management.
Outside
of the Lyell McEwin, Andy is involved extensively with the volunteering
movement both nationally and internationally.
He
is a past President of Volunteering
Australia, a co-author of Australia's premiere volunteer
management guide (Volunteer Management:an essential guide) and the
Founder of OzVPM,
one of the country's most utilised volunteer management support
networks. Andy trains volunteer managers the world over and has
presented in the USA, Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales,
Singapore and NZ.
In
2003, Andy was awarded a Centenary of Federation medal in recognition
of his contribution to the development of the Australian volunteering
movement.
