Ward Library Services

 

Ward Library Services at the Lyell McEwin Hospital provides volunteers with the opportunity to be part of a team where they feel valued and appreciated. Working on the library trolley is a daily occurrence with staff rostered on throughout the week. Volunteering as a Library trolley volunteer will give you the necessary skills to communicate and converse with a range of diverse individuals and patients. Whilst volunteering with the library trolley you will gain a sense of achievement and self-satisfaction knowing that you have helped your community in this role.

Ward Library Services general duties involve providing patients with appropriate reading materials, crosswords & puzzles, restocking of magazines in waiting rooms.

Training will be offered to those who are accepted into the Ward Library Services Program.
